Refund Policy Overview

Under our 24-hour flexible booking policy, if your ticket was purchased through Siyavaya in the last 24 hours and you completed your purchase one week or more before the originally scheduled day of activity, it may qualify for a waiver of change or cancellation fees.

Activity tickets are not eligible for changes but are eligible for a full refund within 24 hours of booking as long as you completed your purchase one week or more before the originally scheduled day of activity.

If your ticket qualifies, you can cancel your reservation and receive a refund.

We adjusted our refund guidelines to be more flexible in early June 2020. If you experienced a significant Siyavaya schedule disruption and were denied a refund between March 1, 2020 and June 6, 2020 and no longer wish to use your travel credit, please fill out the refund form, and we will review your claim to determine if you are now eligible for a refund.

A refund may be requested for any activity or holiday package that allows refunds. Depending on the rules of the activity or holiday packages purchased, a cancellation fee may apply. Most activity or holiday packages are nonrefundable and are not eligible for voluntary refunds. However, the value of your activity or holiday package may be eligible to be applied toward the price of a new activity or holiday package. activity tickets or holiday packages are valid 12 months from the day of ticket issuance, except for tickets purchased on or before December 31, 2022, which are extended from the original issue date to December 31, 2023. Travel must begin by December 31, 2023. Once travel begins, travel must be completed within 12 months from the outbound travel date.

The refund amount you will receive depends on several variables. For example, activity tickets or holiday packages that are partially used will be calculated at a prorated amount based on the rules of the ticket purchased and segments flown. Fees and surcharges collected in conjunction with the activity tickets or holiday package will only be refunded if applicable.

Credit card refunds will be processed within seven business days of the request. All other refunds will be processed within 20 business days of the request.

Your refund will be credited back to your original form of payment.

Understanding your refund options

If your travel plans have been impacted by COVID-19, depending on the severity of the schedule disruption, you may be eligible for a refund.

If you have not yet canceled your trip, first cancel the reservation and request a refund; send an email to the following email address bookings@siyavayaadventures.afri a. Depending on the type of Activity ticket or package and disruption, you may be offered a future date credit or a refund back to the original form of payment.

If you have already canceled your reservation, fill out the refund form below, and we’ll contact you shortly to let you know whether your activity ticket or package qualifies for a refund. If your activity ticket qualifies, your refund will be credited back to your original form of payment. Please allow up to 7 business days for us to process your request. The timing of refunds for Activity tickets purchased in international locations may be different.

Cancellation And Refund Policies

Due to a limited number of equipment, we request that you cancel at least 48 hours before a scheduled activity. This allows us to fill the activity If I am unable to attend. You may cancel by phone, WhatsApp, or email here. If you have to cancel your activity within 48hrs, we offer you a credit to your account but do not offer refunds.

You may use these credits for any future activity, or I can transfer them to a friend. Credit must be used within 90 days. However, if you do not cancel before 48 hours, you will lose the payment for the activity. You may request to cancel your ticket for a full refund 72 hours before the date and time of the activity. Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the activity date/time may not receive a refund or a transfer. When you register for an activity, you agree to these terms.

Always allow an hour before and an hour after the booked activity time in case of delays due to mechanical or unforeseen circumstances.

Deposit non-refundable

In the event of the Client canceling the Booking, we shall have the right to either claim the Deposit to retain the Deposit or claim damages suffered by the Siyavaya. The principals may reserve the right to cancel any tour before departure. In this event, the entire payment will be refunded to the Client without any further obligation on the part of the Siyavaya. The maximum cancellation fee, which may be imposed in the event of a client canceling, is as follows (Clients should also refer to the cancellation provisions contained in the Principal’s Conditions or website. Principals may charge cancellation fees over and above those stated below):

  • Deposit non-refundable
  • Five weeks before departure day of activities:35% of the Tour Price
  • Four weeks before departure day of activities:50% of the Tour Price
  • Three weeks or less:100% of the Tour Price

If Siyavaya is forced to cancel your booking or suspend a tour/activity

A. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements as we plan the meetings well in advance. Occasionally we may have to make changes due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control or operating requirements, and we reserve the right to do so at any time. Most of these changes will be minor, and we will advise you or your Siyavaya of them at the earliest possible date.

B. Some tours and activities require a minimum number of travelers to operate. Suppose a booking is canceled because the minimum requirements aren’t met. In that case, you will be offered a different date/tour/activity or credit for the total amount paid as a Travel Credit Voucher (valid for 24 months from the issue date) or a 95% refund. Bank fees and forex currency fluctuation costs will be for your account.

C. If the change or cancellation is due to force majeure (i.e., circumstances like weather conditions; war or threat of war; riot; civil strife; hostilities; political unrest; government action; industrial dispute; natural or another disaster; nuclear incident; terrorist activity; an epidemic/pandemic; fire; flood; drought; closure of airports; rescheduling or cancellation of flights or alteration of the airline or aircraft type by an airline and technical problems with transportation that are outside our control), we can offer a Travel Credit Voucher (valid for 24 months from issue date); less reasonable expenses incurred by us in respect of your booking or you are allowed one free date change to another available travel date (your new date should fall within 18 months from the issue date). Our standard cancellation terms will apply if you require a refund to your bank account. Bank fees and forex currency fluctuation costs will be for your account.

D. Siyavaya travel/gift vouchers can only be redeemed on Siyavaya’s website for Siyavaya tour products listed online at www. siyavayaadventures.Africa. The travel voucher will be in and. A travel voucher is the most cost-effective way to receive a refund as the value of the transaction remains in our base currency, and there is no loss due to exchange rate conversion fluctuations or fees.

E. Transaction values in your currency could be affected due to bank fees and currency exchange fluctuations. Siyavaya is not responsible for the costs of any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations or rescheduling of any departure.

Bad weather conditions

Siyavaya will do its best to keep all activities and tours running on the date said Activity / Tour is booked for. However, if there are any changes beyond our control due to bad weather, Siyavaya has the right to change the activity/tour/package date at any time. Suppose the client cannot change to another date for whatever reason. In that case, they will receive a 90% refund if the client changes the date of their activity/tour to a date where the price of that activity/tour has increased for whatever reason or if there aren’t the required minimum numbers of guests on the new date to run the activity, the client must additionally pay the difference in price between the increased cost and the original paid price to be confirmed.

Prices

Prices are quoted at the ruling daily exchange rate. Until the Siyavaya has received payment of the Price in full, it reserves the right to charge any fluctuations to the Client’s account. The Client undertakes to pay for any such fluctuation in demand. The onus will be on the Client to check that there have been no changes in the Price before making the full and final payment. However, once payment of the Price is received, the Price is guaranteed (subject to statutory increases such as VAT). However, airfares are subject to the price and conditions quoted by the airlines and cannot be guaranteed by the Siyavaya (PLEASE NOTE: This applies especially regarding airport taxes for the entire journey).

Should the Client be a group booking and the group number deviate from the number required for the Booking, the Principal may reserve the right to re-cost the Price and raise a surcharge. Should any Client refuse to accept and pay such a surcharge, it may result in the principal canceling the Booking and retaining any payment made (The Siyavaya will be entitled to have any service fees charged).

Should the Client be a group booking and the group number deviate from the number required for the Booking, the Principal may reserve the right to re-cost the Price and raise a surcharge. Should any Client refuse to accept and pay such a surcharge, it may result in the principal canceling the Booking and retaining any payment made (The Siyavaya will be entitled to include any service fees charged). Please note that in some cases, Principals may nevertheless have a clause requiring passengers to pay an additional amount in the event of fuel surcharges or fuel price increases even though full payment has been affected.

NOTE: Foreign credit cards, Amex credit cards, and Diners credit cards will not be accepted.

Responsibility, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnity

The Proposed Travel Arrangements are made on the express condition that The Siyavaya, its employees, and agents shall not be responsible for, and shall be exempt from, all liability in respect of loss (financial or otherwise), damage, accident, injury, illness, harm, trauma, death, delay or inconvenience to or additional expense incurred by any Client (which shall be deemed to include the heirs, executors, administrators or assigns of the Client whether on the tour or journey or not), to or of their luggage, or other property, howsoever caused whether or not arising from any act, omission, default, or negligence on the part of the Siyavaya whatsoever, unless, in the case of injury or death, it is due to the negligent act or omission of the Siyavaya. Such liability will be subject to a limitation of R10 000, 00 (Ten Thousand Rand) per Client per Booking. The Client indemnifies and holds harmless the Siyavaya, its employees, and agents accordingly. The Siyavaya, its employees, and agents shall furthermore not be liable for any indirect and consequential loss or damages whatsoever and howsoever arising unless section 61 of the CPA applies.

Force Majeure

The Siyavaya shall have the right to cancel any contract should its fulfillment be rendered impossible, impeded, or frustrated by strike, lock-out, civil commotion, war, the act of God, force majeure, lack of materials, operation of law or regulations, or order made by any statutory or other duly constituted authorities or any other cause beyond the control of the Siyavaya. Force Majeure includes renovations that may be carried out at your resort. At the same time, the Siyavaya will use its best endeavors to provide current information in that regard. While the spa will use its best efforts to keep any inconvenience to a minimum, restoration or renovations are being carried out. They do not constitute grounds for any claim against the Siyavaya.

The Siyavaya will use its best endeavors to recover from third parties such monies as may have been paid to them on behalf of the Client. All funds so recovered by the Siyavaya will be reimbursed to the Client, less a cancellation charge based on the agent’s time spent on the booking on the changes and lost revenue to the agent due to the cancellation. Professional fees earned by the Siyavaya are non-refundable.

Payment Policy

Within 14 days, after confirming the booking, a 50% deposit is required. On the day of arrival the outstanding amount must be settled in full. Any extras during the day must be settled at the end of the day.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations or changes must be received in writing. No verbal instructions will be accepted.

Cancellation 4-5 days prior to date reserved will result in a fee of 50% of the total account. Cancellation 1-3 days prior to date reserved will result in a fee of 75% of the total account. Cancellation on day of function or a no show will result in a fee of 100% of the total account
